Thanks so much for your interest in my work. I began
taking photos in high school and attended Chowan College in Murfreesboro, NC for
photography. I soon realized that I liked being in the darkroom more than
behind the camera (long before digital photography was available to the average
person) and found that one couldn't make much of a living doing that; as a
result I put my camera work on the shelf in the mid-90's. Discovering a
few years ago just how far digital photography has come along, it
rekindled a desire to take up the art of photography once again.
My philosophy
is pretty straight forward - Quality headshots at a reasonable price. As
an actor, I understand the frustration and expense that goes with our chosen
profession and I don't believe that getting your "calling card" shot
should be a further source of anxiety. As my business name suggests,
it's about 'your' face and you only have about two seconds (or as long as
it takes a casting director or agent to flip through headshots) to make your
first impression. Don't be passed over...get the shot that works!
Cheers,
William H Powers
